Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Gary Campbell talks about the possibility of LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner entering the NFL draft and Chip Kelly answers reporters questions at yesterday's press conference. Video courtesy of the R-G. Rob Moseley and Steve Summers also have brief recaps from the press conference.

The ODE crew has some very nice photos from the morning practice session yesterday.

• Lindsay Schnell reports Chip Kelly wouldn't be surprised to see a track meet or a defensive struggle when it comes down to playing the game.

• The Oregon football players took some time to visit the Childrens' Hospital in LA yesterday to meet a passionate young fan.

• Ted Miller notes that Oregon believes Chip Kelly is a long-term Duck.

Bryan Bennett plays a vital role as the backup QB to Darron Thomas as he proved earlier in the season when DT got hurt in the ASU game. If he gets his wish, Oregon will win handily and he will get a chance to play late in the game against Wisconsin.

• Dale Newton reminds us that after all of the hype and press conferences there is still a game to be played.

• Steve Maher @ wonders if we will see some of that "black mamba magic" in the Rose Bowl.

Here is a hunch. Expect the cheers to be really loud for No. 6 in the green jersey. In his old Crenshaw neighborhood. In Eugene. And in all households where Ducks abide.

• Predictions are starting to come in and Jason Vondersmith and Stephen Alexander see the Ducks winning their first Rose Bowl since 1917.

Jason - THE PICK: Oregon 44, Wisconsin 31
Stephen - THE PICK: Oregon 55 Wisconsin 24

Happy New Year everyone and a big thank you for all your support year in and year out.
