Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

The ESPN BCS crew discusses the Oregon-Wisconsin matchup last night.

Aaron Fentress notes the hype has already started as Chip Kelly and Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema have nothing but admiration for each other in a phone conference held yesterday.

Lucas Clark previews the Rose Bowl matchup with the Badgers.

Rob Moseley reports the seniors would like to cap impressive run with a BCS victory.

Asper and Oregon’s other seniors celebrated their 43rd career victory Friday, an unprecedented level of success for the program. At 11-2, the Ducks have won more than 10 games for just the third time ever — but also for the second year in a row.

• The Solid Verbal guys talk about the big games held over the weekend including a segment on Oregon-UCLA.

De'Anthony Thomas and David Paulson shared the most outstanding player award at the team award banquet yesterday.

"I feel like I'm just a small part of what we do," said Paulson, who was also given the Sahlstrom Award as the top senior scholar-athlete on the team.

Thomas was named first-team all-conference as a returner. He enters the Rose Bowl with 1,968 all-purpose yards, third all-time on the UO single-season list.

"I thank all of you for letting me come to Oregon and contribute to the team," Thomas said.
