Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

KVAL shares their sports segment news piece on the Oregon victory at the Civil War, 49-21.

Ken Goe credits the defense for completely dismantling the beavs.

Oregon’s defense held the Beavers to 16 net yards rushing and teed off on freshman quarterback Sean Mannion, sacking him six times and intercepting him twice.

“Once we stopped the run, we pinned our ears back and got after him,” said linebacker Michael Clay, who had a first-quarter interception. “We’ve got a great pass rush. We definitely took him out of rhythm, shook him up.”

• Here are the links to the rest of the game coverage stories: Rob Moseley says the slow start didn't matter; Chris Courtney was aimpressed with Paulson's career day; Steve Summers notes the impressive numbers the Ducks put up; Patrick Malee was impressed with the defensive standouts; Ken Woody called it an easy win; Dale Newton called it a defensive domination; Steve Maher says the Ducks own the state-as they usually do; ESPN and articles round out the coverage.

Ted Miller has a helmet sticker for Darron Thomas.

The Ducks quarterback completed 27 of 40 passes for 305 yards with four TDs and no interceptions in the 49-21 win over Oregon State.

• Thomas Boyd and Aaron Marineau share their game photos. If you were at the game and in your seat 20 minutes before kickoff check back here later today as the Oregon Community Credit Union and will present a FanCam giga-pixel 360 degree photo. Tag yourself in the photo and you will be entered to win a prize.

• I will be back later today with my highlight video of the Civil War.
