Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Rob Moseley has your Monday practice update and KVAL provides the video of CK answering questions after practice.

Given DT's situation, the questions about whether he or Bryan Bennett starts Saturday will continue, and while Chip Kelly continues to be vague, there's still the sense from players that they expect Thomas will be the guy.

• Lindsay Schnell believes it could just be gamesmanship when CK gives one of his vague responses when it comes to who starts at QB against Washington. I would be inclined to agree.

• Brian Libby at opens the history books and looks back at some great Oregon players from the 80's.

LMJ has been named as a semi-finalist for the Maxwell Award which is given to the college football player of the year.

• Will the Oregon - Washington rivalry be competitive this year? You don't want the truth. Oregon owns this series for seven years running, it's not going to end this year.

• Ted Miller has his weekly power ranking posted where you will find Oregon in second and then does a weekend rewind and likes the special teams play of DAT.

Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in the Ducks' 43-28 win over Washington State. He scored just after the Cougars had narrowed the gap to 29-20 with 3:52 left in the third quarter. He also rushed four times for 26 yards and caught two passes for 54 yards, including a 45-yard TD.

Chip's not handled all of this well, regarding DT and BB. He is putting pressure on DT, BB, Helfrich, and everybody else by being so coy.
