Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Terrell Turner talks about the past and looks ahead to his senior year, Josh Huff talks about rehabbing his knee and looks forward to fall camp, and Darron Thomas is excited to be playing back at home (Texas) on September 3rd. Video courtesy of KVAL.

Rob Moseley reports that LMJ is in the running for his second straight Doak Walker Award, DT is on the Davy O'Brien Award watch list and Josh Kaddu is on the Butkus Award watch list.

Dale Newton wonders who will have an impact in their first year at Oregon and gives the following players the best chance of playing this year.

Colt Lyerla, Rahsaan Vaughn, Jared Ebert, De'Anthony Thomas, Devon Blackman, Anthony Wallace and (with a question mark) Tyler Johnstone or Andre Yruretagoyena. Out of these players Dale likes Colt's chances the best.

He'll play regardless, a physical freak with off-the-charts skills, 6-5 230 and still filling out, able to leap tall Plyo Boxes in a single bound.  With a 40" vertical leap and uncommon poise, he'll be productive from the beginning, proving himself in the Spring Game with three catches in traffic.  He'll be a reliable possession receiver and a perfect complement to David Paulson, giving the Ducks the ability to use two tight end sets to augment the young receiver corps and get a physical advantage in run game blocking.
