Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Robert Husseman notes that a few walk-ons have made the most of their spring seasons.

Oregon has 29 walk-ons on its highly regarded football team. This spring, they have turned heads with their individual efforts and climbed the depth chart.

And, it may be said, they have stolen the show from the scholarship players.

Help in on the way for Darron Thomas as four highly regarded receivers will be joining the team this fall.

The four are Devon Blackmon, Rashaan Vaughn, Tacoi Sumler and B.J. Kelley. All come highly rated, but can any of them realistically be expected to help right away?

Possibly, according to receivers coach Scott Frost.

Even with the four receivers coming this fall, one Oregon coach reminds us that it takes a year of practice to learn the playbook.

Rob Moseley reports that former Notre Dame and NFL star, Todd Lyght, will be joing the Oregon staff as an intern.

Phil Knight sat down with Oprah Winfrey yesterday for a rare interview.

LaMichael James has been putting in extra time working on his receiving skills this spring.

Imagine that Darron Thomas, Dion Jordan and Cliff Harris just walked into your 5th grade classroom, you can just picture the excitement and smiles on their faces. It happened last month for one lucky class.
