Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has a nice piece on Ramsen Golpashin, a fifth year senior walk-on guard.

Golpashin has endeared himself to his coaches and teammates with his work ethic and knowledge of Oregon’s offense. If he can hold on to the right guard job through the summer and into the 2011 season, he might get a chance to endear himself to fans, too, overcoming the long odds all walk-ons face when they play major college football.

It seems that Chip Kelly's mantra, "win the day," is catching on back East.

Dale Newton says that we can learn from Spring Games of the past and I seem to recall seeing the two videos he has embedded in the article.

What the game does do is give the young players the opportunity to run around in a game-like environment and show a little of what they can do. It motivates the team for off season workouts, and gets the fans a little more familiar with the new faces.Astute fans will be looking beyond the box score and the big offensive plays to see how the lines are meshing.
