Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
John Hunt previews the linebacker position heading into Spring Practice on Tuesday.

Michael Clay, who made a name for himself with a 64-yard rumble against Oregon State, can step into Spencer Paysinger’s spot or Casey Matthews’ spot, as well. Clay was eighth on the team in tackles last season, ahead of starter Josh Kaddu.

Kaddu and Boseko Lokombo gave the Ducks big play ability on the strong side. Kaddu had 6 ½ tackles for loss; Lokombo broke up three passes and recovered three fumbles.

Dale Newton says the Pac-12 should be scared as Oregon learned a thing or two playing against Auburn and will improve the running game this spring and summer.

I'll have another video posted later today on the Top 10 Defensive Plays of 2010-11 so stay tuned.
