Duck Stuff: Morning Mud
• Bob Rickert reports that Tyler Johnstone, a 6' 6", 260lb. tackle out from Chandler, Arizona. Johnstone and carries a 4.0 GPA has verbally committed to Oregon. Here is a highlight reel from last year.
• The Sporting News gives the Pac-10 high marks for the strength of their non-conference schedule and ranks the top and bottom five games. Oregon makes each list with the game against Tennessee in the best category and Portland St. on the bottom.
• Rob Moseley spent some time with Chip Kelly's first recruiting class and finds out they have lofty goals.
“I believe in a few years we’ll have at least the national championship,” said [Ricky] Heimuli, a highly regarded defensive tackle who committed to the Ducks on signing day in February.
Big dreams, sure, but big things were expected of the newest class of Ducks before they ever got to town. Both Scout.com and Rivals.com rated the class No. 13 in the nation, among the highest ever for Oregon.
