Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

George Schroeder ponders the pros and cons of splitting the Pac-10(12) into divisions, whether they be north/south or east/west.

Expansion, even the smaller version, was a good move. Although [Larry] Scott didn’t get everything he wanted, he introduced a novel concept: the Pac-10 (-12, whatever) as catalyst, a driver in college sports rather than a sleeping passenger.

Jeremiah Masoli to the WAC? That's the latest rumor and this Oregonian story covered it from front to back.

Jeremiah Masoli visited Louisiana Tech in Ruston, La., over the weekend, The Oregonian has confirmed, as the former Oregon quarterback attempts to sort out his future after being kicked off the Ducks team this spring.

Are ESPN and Fox in a bidding war for a new Pac-10 contract in 2012? John Ourand at the Sports Business Journal says you can count on it.

ESPN recently sent word to the conference that it is interested in discussing a possible channel partnership, sources say.

But ESPN isn’t alone. I expect Fox will also make a significant bid for the broadcast and cable rights.

GO DUCKS!

I don't really care who gets the rights, as long as we get a channel. That would be phat!
