Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Andy Mac reports that 16 new faces were seen in summer classes that started on Monday. The list of recruits along with their jersey numbers can be found here. Welcome guys!

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Vegas oddsmakers have LaMichael James at #20 on a list of 26 players likely to win the Heisman Trophy this year.

We might all agree on the outcome of the recent conference shuffle but one thing is for certain, Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott thinks big. Kirk Bohls, in this Statesman (Austin, TX) article notices also.

In fewer than 12 months on the job, Scott has ushered the conservative-thinking Pac-10 into this century with a gambler's bravado and a visionary's perspective. For a league whose major concern has always seemed to be the floats for the Rose Bowl parade, he garnered the backing of Pac-10 presidents and chancellors and almost single-handedly put his conference on the map alongside the powerful Big Ten and SEC leagues.
