• A U of O student has nominated the large "O" sign on the side of Skinner Butte to be included in the National Register of Historic Places.
The large "O" was built in 1958. Over the years this structure has been a symbol of collegiate rivalry between the University of Oregon and Oregon State. It was stolen from its resting place in 1962 by OSU students and later put back in its original location in 1965.

Don't the Beavers have to stop stinkin' it up for it to be a rivalry? Otherwise, it's more like a jealous fued.
