Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

• Rob Moseley shares a feature story that appeared in the R-G yesterday where he lays out the plans for a new football operations center.

With funding from Nike co-founder and UO mega-donor Phil Knight, the Ducks are planning a new football operations center that will also require the construction of a new soccer and lacrosse facility. The university is preparing to present its basic plan for the project to the State Board of Higher Education on June 4, even though many of the specific details have yet to be finalized.

You can read the rest of the story here.

• Rivals follows Chip Kelly as he prepares to leave on the first leg of his journey to pay tribute to the troops.

Oregon  coach Chip Kelly scans the scene around him, looking at the faces of the men and women who are serving his country at McConnell Air Force Base.[Wichita, KS]

Chip Kelly does the timing during the first of the tour's combine-style events.
"This is something else," says Kelly, crossing the finish line of a 5K race that was part of the festivities before later coaching a flag football team made of men from the base. "I am happy and honored to be here."

Have a grand time Chip!

GO DUCKS!

Gotta wonder about the football center, and how that is necessary, given their current digs...?
