Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Ted Miller released his Pac-10 Power Rankings and has Oregon at number one for the week.

It's fair to say no team in the nation has so dramatically reversed a bad first impression than the Ducks. Oregon handed Cal coach Jeff Tedford his worst defense, and it had nothing to do with turnovers or penalties but with players making plays on both sides of the ball. The Ducks and quarterback Jeremiah Masoli started grooving in game 11 last year. So, really they're way ahead of schedule.

Rob Moseley looks at how the Ducks stack up when it comes to the rankings. And while he doesn't come out and say so, I think we can all pretty much agree the people that vote for the AP and USA polls don't really have a clue.

No word yet on Walter Thurmond III but the delay in releasing his condition doesn't seem like good news to me.

Nice to see the recognition that Ed Dickson received this week, and well deserved. It was announced yesterday that Dickson was named the Pac-10 offensive player of the week. This comes on top of the Walter Camp Football Foundation national player of the week honors. posted their weely football release for the WSU game. Everything you need to know can be found here.

Oregon's game at UCLA on October 10th will be regionally televised by ABC. Kickoff is set for 12:30pm local time.
