Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Bob Rickert looks at special teams and says they could make the ultimate difference. Make mistakes and lose, be special and it could be the deciding factor.

What will Oregon wear on Thursday? Most folks are guessing all white. John Hunt is going with the flow and thinks we'll have the storm-trooper look.

Now that Cliff Harris has three practices under his belt John Hunt gives his first impressions. Secondary coach John Neal had this to offer:

"Cliff's got the things we were hoping he had,'' Neal said. "He's got the high-level instincts, incredible ability, great ball skills, and he's coachable. This is a young man that wants to be great.''

Redshirt freshmen Kenjon Barner has been turning heads in spring and fall camp. That is the main reason we'll get a chance to see for ourselves come Thursday night. John Hunt says we should be watching.

Barner will open the season as one of the Ducks' primary kick returners. He also is one reason why Kelly has adopted the "tazer" position this season, a slot receiver who can run and catch. He simply had to get Barner and LaMichael James and their game-breaking abilities on the field as much as possible.

Barner should be exciting to watch.

GO DUCKS!
