Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Ted Miller has a story on some folks who made a name for themselves during spring practice and in turn might have a chance of still impressing us come September.

For the Ducks it was linebacker Eddie Pleasant. New coach Chip Kelly raved about his linebackers this spring, and Pleasant earned kudos for stepping in for the departed Jerome Boyd.

John Hunt noticed that The Sporting News preseason poll has Oregon ranked at 7th in the nation.

Also, cornerback Walter Thurmond is first-team preseason All-American, and running back LeGarrette Blount made the second team.

Chip Kelly and O Heroes will be hosting a free youth football camp in Autzen Stadium on Saturday, May 30, from noon to 2 p.m.

This camp is free to all participants and will allow children (grades 1-8) to be instructed by Kelly and members of the Duck football team. The event is limited to the first 300 kids who register and each will be given a free autographed poster.
