Peruse some of the photos at my Flickr site. I took a few of the pictures but most of them were taken by Jake & Jenn while I manned the sound system.

Bush Dictatorship is at it again...

Bush Commutes Libby Prison Sentence
President Bush commuted the sentence of former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby on Monday, sparing him from a 2 1/2-year prison term that Bush said was excessive. Bush’s move came hours after a federal appeals panel ruled Libby could not delay his prison term in the CIA leak case.
That meant Libby was likely to have to report to prison soon and put new pressure on the president, who had been sidestepping calls by Libby’s allies to pardon the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney.
“I respect the jury’s verdict,” Bush said in a statement. “But I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive. Therefore, I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby’s sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison.”
Bush left intact a $250,000 fine and two years probation for Libby, and Bush said his action still “leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby.”
Oregon's Stewart named to Maxwell Award's 2007 watch list
As one of the most highly regarded recruits in Oregon football history, great things were expected of Jonathan Stewart. As he enters his junior season, the running back will be under more scrutiny as a member of the Maxwell Award watch list. The Maxwell Award, given annually to the most outstanding player in the country, was won by Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn in 2006.
The 65 players on the list announced recently were selected based on their 2006 performances, Maxwell Football Club president Ron Jaworski said.
Stewart scored 11 touchdowns and rushed for 981 yards on 183 carries in 2006, earning second-team All-Pacific-10 Conference honors. He was sixth in the country in kickoff returns, averaging 28.1 yards per attempt.
Semifinalists will be announced in early November and three finalists will be named later that month. The 2007 Maxwell Award winner will be announced at the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show Dec. 6.1-800-GOOG-411 now with Maps
