Oregon QB Dennis Dixon was named the Pac-10 Conference’s offensive player of the week for his performance in the Ducks’ 39-7 win over Michigan on Saturday. Dixon is Oregon’s first player of the week honoree since J.D. Nelson and Paul Martinez took the defensive and special teams honors, respectively, the week of Sept. 9 last season. He is the Ducks’ first offensive player of the week since quarterback Kellen Clemens the week of Sept. 3, 2005.
