My folks just got back this last Thursday from a 2 week trip through the British Isles. This photo is of Big Ben taken from a pod on the London Eye ride. All 118 phots are available at my Flickr site.

For whom the 'Bell' tolls
University of Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti is not happy about the newly instituted rule changes designed to speed up the game.
Following a change of possession, the game clock will now start when the referee signals ready for play – not when the ball is snapped. In another switch, the clock will start when the ball is kicked on kickoffs. Previoulsy the clock didn't start until the receiving team touched the ball.
Bellotti used the media day stage to voice his displeasure regarding the new rules.
"I don't think from the fan standpoint the game is too long. I don't think cutting five to 10 to 15 minutes out of it is going to make a difference," he said. "As a coach, I am appalled at the rule changes. They are major and very severe and they are going to change the game as we know it, especially in starting the game clock after a change of possession. That changes a lot of strategies. I'm disappointed. I can't find anyone who is in favor of that. I hope it's overturned next year."

We all had a great time at Bob & Jackie's place for the "Meet Noah" party. The star of the show pretty much slept the whole time and got passed from one should to the next while he slept. You can check out all the photos at Flickr!
For 2 days now Floyd "The Man" Landis has worn the yellow jersey. The Tour De France can be seen all day long on OLN Network if anyone wants to check it out. I've been riding for about a year now and I'm completly hooked. I put about 75 miles a week on my two wheels. I recommend riding for everyone!

We went for a little hike today. It was about a 6 mile hike that started at Multnomah Falls and finished at Wahkeena Falls. As you can see by the first pic of I84 the elevation climb was pretty serious. The hike took us about 3 1/2 hours and was a ton of fun. We figured it was about a 1000 ft climb.
