Ok everybody it's draft time in the NBA and the teams with the top 4 picks are in order Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls (traded with New York Knicks), Charlotte Bobcats, and finally the Portland Blazers. In the last week there's been some talk about Rudy Gay going first in the Draft instead of the Italian star Andrea Bargnani. But you've still got the possibility of Adam Morrison coming in at 1st. Personally this is how the Draft will go down or at least how it should go down.
1. Rudy Gay
I think Gay should go first because Toronto is solid in all other spots except for PG.
2. Adam Morrison
Morrisons going next because once again Chicago needs some more help in the SF position all they have there is Luol Deng who's a solid SF but he's no Lebron James. Morrison could bring some real depth to the Chicago Bulls.
3.Andrea Bargnani
Charlotte needs some serious help in all categories except their forwards. They're solid there with Dwight Howard and Gerald Wallace. If your b-ball savy then you know that Charlotte was a expantion team from 2 years ago. Andrea could bring some serious greatness to their team and even possibly get to the playoffs.
4. Tyrus Thomas
If Portland is halfway smart they will pick this PF. They may have Zach Randolph but he's a pansy underneath. Tyrus Thomas is not a small fella and is not afraid to get physical.
So their you have the basketball freak tells you whats gonna go down tomorrow. The draft goes down tomorrow at 4:30 so lets hope that the Portland Blazers will be decent this year (Yeah sure).

Father's Day 2006
It was a terrific Father's Day. Started out with a little trip to some BLM land just outside of Elmira where we went with Tony, Jenn & the kids to do a little shooting and then everyone coming over to the house for a little get together in the afternoon (photos available at Flickr.). I just wanted to thank all of you for taking the time to come see the Old Guy (and the awesome Duck hat rack along with the "pimp my ride" lounger).I Love You All!

Sin City Style

Noah & Grandpa done with filters from Microsoft's Digital Image Editing program. Pretty cool effects available using the multitude of filters you can apply to photos. I actually used 2 different filters to create this "Sin City" style. See the large size at Flickr.

What's For Lunch?

This Cooper's Hawk decided that "yellow finch" was on the menu yesterday. A little rare for me but he seemed to enjoy it. The rest of the photos from the "Wines Cafe" are at Flickr.

Ouch!

The question is...how long will Pujols be out? The St. Louis Cardinals suffered a bad beat when their all-star, superhuman, home-run hitting stud muffin went down with a leg injury earlier this week. Will the Cards fizzle away without that kind of production? Well, it's gonna hurt one way or another. Albert Pujols was on track to break some records this year, and now that he is out indefinitely, we will have to see what will become of the Cardinals quest to lose to the Yankees in the World Series.

Chris' Birthday Get Together...

We had a Birthday get-together for Chris at Chuck & Suzi's house yesterday. Of course, it gave us all the opportunity to get a little "Noah" time in. Poor little guy got passed around more than the bota bag at a Duck's home game.
I really like this photo, I was a little impatient and pushed the button on the camera before it was done focusing so it's a touch out of focus. I worked with it some in Photoshop and it's a lot better than the original. You can see the best of yesterdays photos at Flickr.
Here's who was there yesterday: Myself, Chuck, Suzi, Noah, Chris, Jolene, Jake, Max, Dave, Jackie, Bob and last but not least my Mom & Dad.

Hello
Well, I apologize for not taking the time to introduce myself as of yet. My name is Noah Douglas Wines, and I guess we are all family, at least that is what Daddy tells me. Hey ya know, I guess you play with the cards you are dealt with. As you can see I am terribly cute. Right now I am spending a great deal of time at home, and Mommy tells me you were all at the hospital with me a few days back. Sorry I was a little preoccupied, and do not remember much but a bunch of frickin people taking pictures of me naked on a table. I must say I was thinking you guys were freaks, but hey if those are the cards you are dealt....well you know the rest. Anyways, since I do not know any of you, I figured I would let you in on some info about myself. I really like to sleep....sleep is good. I think I get that from Daddy. When I am not sleepin I am tryin to do whatever I can to get a boob in my mouth. I like the boob. So far cryin very loudly and persistently has worked quite well. Mom and Dad, this is how I refer to em when I am angry, tried to put me in these fancy pants. I cried, and they gave in pretty easy. Actually it is pretty funny. I really like to be warm, ya know like the womb. I mean I left Hawaii a few days back, 96 degrees and humid, food and drink always available. IT WAS FANTASTIC IN THERE. Anywyas I am off track. So warm is good. Mommy and Daddy are warm. Therefore Mommy and Daddy are good. They also have these nice rythmic heartbeats I like, kinda got used to em in Hawaii. So whenever they put me down, I just start cryin cause I like em. They are stinkin pushovers. 7 seconds and they pick me up. Suckers. Well I gotta go now, Daddy wants to teach me French today, and then I start on Danish tommorow. Daddy says it is important for the leader of the free world to be able to speak at least 7 languages. I figure I will have that licked by 5. Anyways, I am looking forward to meeting you all, and seeing if you are warm and have nice heartbeats to hold me with. Lastly, I would like you all to know that I am currently pooping myself. WOOHOO I like to poop.Love
