Oregon’s battered defensive line, weakened from injuries as the Ducks prepare to face Cal in Berkeley, Calif., at 5 p.m. on Saturday, may get a boost from the return of Jeremy Gibbs, UO coach Mike Bellotti said.
Gibbs started three games at tackle before an ankle injury caused him to miss last week’s game at Arizona State. But Bellotti said Gibbs would practice Thursday and was considered “probable” to play Saturday.
End Victor Filipe, on the other hand, is “doubtful” due to his lingering elbow injury, Bellotti said. Already sidelined are tackles Ra’Shon Harris (triceps) and Cole Linehan (foot).
Running back Jonathan Stewart, who sat out Tuesday’s workout, practiced Wednesday and is “ready to go,” Bellotti said. For Dave's take on the upcoming game, be sure to check out his blog: As Seen By Dave
